Sam is a JD graduate from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. Prior to law, he obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland where he completed a five-year co-op program and gained work experience in the technology and oil & gas industries.
During law school, Sam was an involved member of the Mooting Society, representing Osgoode at the national levels of the 2021 Harold G. Fox IP Moot and the 2022 Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot, where his team was awarded First Overall Respondent Factum and Third Overall Combined Factums. In his final year at Osgoode, Sam provided research assistance for Professor Poonam Puri regarding Securities Law and Corporate Governance.
