Osler advised BC Partners in connection with the sale a majority of its equity interest in Garda World Security Corporation in a transaction which values GardaWorld at $14 billion. Following the closing of this transaction, Stephan Crétier, collectively with select members of Management, are now holding approximately 70% of GardaWorld and HPS Investment Partners, together with Oak Hill Advisors, One Investment Management and other sophisticated minority investors, now collectively hold a minority equity interest. BC Partners is also continuing to hold a minority interest.
This transaction represents the largest private buyout in Canada to date.
