On June 18, 2025, Future Fields announced that it raised $8 million in its Series A financing round that was co-led by Amplify Capital, BDC’s Climate Tech Fund and R7 Partners. The round also had particiaption from Toyota Ventures, BoxOne Ventures, Builders VC, TRAC VC and University of Alberta Innovation Fund. Future Fields also announced a new partnership formed with Protein Evolution, which is focused on proprietary machine learning algorithms for enzyme design.
Future Fields is an Edmonton-based startup that focuses on the production and commercialization of cellular agriculture products through a bio manufacturing platform.
