David Jamieson

David is a partner in Osler’s Emerging and High Growth Companies Practice Group in our Toronto office. David’s practice focuses on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate/commercial matters, with a particular emphasis on the representation of emerging and high growth companies (throughout their lifecycles), the venture capital, growth equity and private equity funds and other investors that finance them and the strategic acquirors who buy them. David is broadly experienced with corporate formation and governance matters, venture capital and private equity financing transactions and a variety of acquisition and divestiture transaction structures on both the buy and sell side.

David plays a central role in Osler’s relationships with Rotman’s Creative Destruction Lab, Next Canada (including Next AI, Next 36 and Next Founders) and the C100.

David completed his J.D. degree at Queen’s University and obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies. During his studies, David participated in study abroad exchanges at Sydney University (Australia), the Queen’s International Study Centre (England) and the Université libre de Bruxelles (Belgium).
