On April 11, 2018, Power Factors Canada Ltd, a subsidiary of Power Factors, LLC, itself a subsidiary of MaxGen Energy Services, LLC, acquired Canadian sector consultancy Arista Renewable Energies for an undisclosed sum.

Power Factors, LLC develops portfolio performance software for the wind and solar industry. It offers portfolio performance SaaS solutions for monitoring, managing, and optimizing renewable energy assets. Power Factors is based in San Leandro, California.

MaxGen Energy Services LLC monitors, operates, and maintains solar and renewable infrastructure across North America. The company is based in Costa Mesa, California.

Arista Renewable Energies is an independent renewable energy consulting firm offering engineering services for the development, implementation and performance optimization of wind, solar and hydro projects. Arista is headquartered in Canada.

Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP acted as Canadian counsel to MaxGen Energy Services with a team led by Manon Thivierge (Tax) that consisted of Raphaël Amram (Corporate), Steven Dickie (Employment & Labour) and Jean-Philippe Dionne (Tax).
