On December 6, 2019, the Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CAPREIT) completed it $490 million public equity offering led by RBC Capital Markets. The funding will be used to finance the REIT’s acquisition of unencumbered multi-residential properties, repay previous acquisitions, finance existing operating lease buyouts and fund future acquisitions along with intensification opportunities within CAPREIT’s portfolio and for revenue-enhancing capital expenditures.
