Rosalind Hunter

Rosalind is Co-Chair of Osler’s Capital Markets Group and Co-Chair of the firm’s Financial Institution Transactions Group. She is a highly regarded corporate lawyer with extensive experience advising on equity and debt offerings as well as M&A transactions in many industries, with particular expertise in financial institution transactions.  

Her capital markets practice includes regularly advising on IPOs and other public securities offerings, private placements and consent solicitations. She frequently represents senior issuers and Canada’s largest investment banks on domestic and cross-border offerings. She has significant experience with financial institution regulatory capital instruments, including limited recourse capital notes and preferred shares.

Rosalind has advised on a wide range of private M&A deals in many industries including financial services and entertainment. She has also represented banks and major Canadian retailers on commercial agreements related to their loyalty and credit card programs.  Rosalind was previously seconded to the Corporate Finance Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission and is a member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Securities Advisory Committee.
