On April 2, 2020, Tailscale announced they have launched their product and raised $3 million in seed funding. This investment will support Tailscale’s goal of achieving simple computer networking for everyone that works anywhere you can access the internet.
Founded in 2019, Tailscale is a startup that was created by a group of former Google software engineers. Tailscale’s goal is to help remote teams securely access services without the lengthy setup time of traditional VPNs. Tailscale’s technology requires no hardware or infrastructure and is meant to reduce VPN setup from weeks to minutes by using a team’s existing identity provider, such as GSuite and Office365.
Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP advised Tailscale with a team consisting of Chad Bayne, Gary Marshall and Matt Griffin (Emerging & High Growth Companies).
