Overview
Ontario’s recently updated excess soil regime creates a new regulatory framework that applies to all construction projects generating “excess soil,” resulting in new standards and obligations that impose additional legal requirements on project stakeholders. The regulatory changes will affect property owners, developers, consultants, and the construction industry as a whole, exposing participants to new risks and legal requirements.
Osler’s Andrew Wong and Jennifer Fairfax discuss how the changes impact various stages of a project including project planning, budgeting and project delivery. The webinar also address edits to the CCDC suite of documents in light of the legislation.
