On January 15, 2019, Vention announced the close of its $17 million Series A financing round, led by Bain Capital Ventures. Vention will use the funds raised to accelerate development of its cloud-based MachineBuilder 3D software, expand its modular hardware library, and bring additional solutions to market.

Bain Capital Ventures LLC is the venture capital division within Bain Capital and invests in seed to growth-stage startups.

Vention, headquartered in Montreal, is a rapidly-growing startup that enables industrial manufacturing professionals to create, design and order custom factory equipment.
