As a partner and Chair of the Research Department at Osler’s Toronto office, Jacqueline stands out for her exceptional ability to navigate complex legal landscapes and deliver practical solutions that drive business success.

With more than 25 years practising in the Research Department, she excels in addressing critical business matters across a broad spectrum of the firm’s practice areas, consistently adding value to the firm through her strategic insights and expertise. Jacqueline’s client-focused approach ensures that she anticipates the legal needs of key clients, offering tailored advice across various industries and legal issues.

Jacqueline’s expertise is applied across commercial matters, corporate transactions and litigation. Areas of focus include corporate governance, regulatory compliance, insurance (including director and officer and fidelity policies), administrative and Crown law, trust issues, contract and statutory interpretation, to name a few. Her proficiency extends to crafting compelling legal arguments for high-stakes commercial and insolvency litigation, as well as delivering complex legal analyses and opinions or targeted advice on important client mandates. As a pivotal member of the Osler insolvency team, Jacqueline specializes in insolvency and restructuring, where her innovative and pragmatic solutions are crucial for clients facing financial challenges.

Her leadership role on Osler’s Opinions Committee and as the co-editor of the Osler Legal Outlook reflects Jacqueline’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of legal scholarship and practice.

Before joining Osler, Jacqueline clerked for Justice Peter Cory at the Supreme Court of Canada.
