Josy-Ann is a versatile litigator who advises and represents clients from various sectors and businesses in complex civil and commercial disputes, investigations, and regulatory enforcement matters.  She has extensive experience in contractual disputes, civil liability, environmental law, class actions, privacy law, securities law and construction law.

Josy-Ann is also a member of Osler’s Regulatory, Indigenous and Environmental group, and provides regulatory and environmental advice relating to regulatory investigation and orders, environmental assessments, permits and approvals, and regulatory compliance. She also assists clients through the environmental aspects of commercial and real estate transactions.

Josy-Ann leverages her dual law degree and master in business administration to provide strategic and practical solutions for her clients.  She has successfully defended clients before the Québec courts and administrative tribunals. During her studies, Josy-Ann served as a law clerk at the Superior Court of Montréal and completed an internship in Paris within an international management consulting firm

    • Snapcommerce Inc. in connection with the settlement of a class action for damages relating to the cancellation of online bookings
    • Trans Union of Canada Inc., in connection with requests for rectification of personal information made to the Commission d’accès à l’information, and with various proceedings before the Québec courts
    • Loop Industries Inc., in an application for authorization to institute a securities class action for misrepresentation following a short seller report. The application was dismissed by the Superior Court
    • TD Waterhouse Canada Inc., in an application for authorization to institute a class action for damages relating to trading restrictions imposed on TD’s direct brokerage platform. The application was dismissed by the Superior Court
    • Teva Canada Ltd. in connection with a dispute with a Québec governmental entity relating to an access to information request
    • A multinational manufacturer in connection with a land transaction in Québec involving environmental and regulatory matters
    • An international oil service company in connection with ongoing remediation work relating to contaminated soil and groundwater

    • Acted in a Pro Bono case before the Superior Court of Québec and the Québec Court of Appeal for a non-profit organization in the Montréal community in the context of municipal litigation
