Pierre Fitzgibbon is widely recognized for his substantial contributions to the economic development of Québec, with more than three decades of experience in finance, corporate strategy and business development. Throughout his impressive career, Pierre has held influential roles across politics, finance and the corporate world.
He was first elected as the Member of the National Assembly of Québec for Terrebonne under the Coalition Avenir Québec in 2018 and was re-elected in 2022. Until September 2024, he served as Québec’s Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, where he played a pivotal role in shaping policies to drive innovation and growth in key sectors of the Québec economy.
Prior to his political career, Pierre was a managing partner at Walter Capital Partners, a private equity firm, from 2015 to 2018. From 2007 to 2014, he was the president and CEO of Atrium Innovations, a leading company in the health and nutrition industry. Earlier in his career, Pierre served as vice chairman at National Bank Financial and led the investment banking and corporate finance divisions.
His extensive experience also includes executive roles at Télésystème Mobiles International, Chase Capital Partners Hong Kong, Domtar and Peerless Carpet Corporation. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in auditing and consulting.
In recognition of his deep business expertise, Pierre has served on the boards of various public and private companies, including the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, WSP, Héroux-Devtek, Groupe Transcontinental, Cycle Capital Management, Neptune Technologies, Lumenpulse, and Arianne Phosphate.
At Osler, Pierre provides clients with strategic insights and guidance on economic and business development matters. He also supports projects that attract capital inflows and leverage private equity, helping clients navigate both domestic and international markets.
