Zain’s practice includes advising on general corporate and commercial matters with a focus on technology, outsourcing, licensing, procurement, and complex service-provider arrangements.
Zain graduated from the Combined J.D. and Honors Computer Science program at Western University in 2019, where he served as the President of the Western Intellectual Property Association and President of Western Founders Network – the largest business-technology organization on campus. Zain's previous work experience includes being an algorithmic trading analyst for a major Canadian investment bank and a software developer for a financial institution. In addition, Zain has had a number of entrepreneurial ventures, including three web applications that have won awards at hackathons in Canada and the United States. Zain is currently an instructor of the FinTech Bootcamp at the University of Toronto.
Zain joined Osler as a summer student in 2018 and returned to complete his articles with the ﬁrm in 2019-2020.
