On January 6, 2026, Pattern Energy Group announced it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Cordelio Power, an independent power producer in Canada and the United States. The addition of Cordelio Power will allow Pattern Energy to expand into one of the largest independent clean energy infrastructure platforms in North America. As part of the acquisition, Pattern will acquire a 1,550-megawatt operating and in-construction portfolio comprised of 16 wind, solar and storage projects in Canada and the United States.

Pattern Energy is one of the world’s largest privately owned developers and operators of major clean energy and transmission projects.
