On March 5, 2018, ThoughtWire announced the closing of a combined $20 million debt and Series A financing. The round was led by Yaletown Partners, with participation from BDC Capital, Round13 Capital, Epic Capital and Comerica.

ThoughtWire plans to use the funding to develop its IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) platform, called Ambiant. ThoughtWire will also use the funding to expand its team and geographic growth.
