François is a partner in Osler’s national market-leading Privacy and Data Management practice group. His practice focuses on privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity law. He advises companies with complex privacy and data protection issues relating to matters such as artificial intelligence, fintech, ad tech and healthcare. François is frequently involved on the most significant privacy matters in Canada, including privacy regulatory investigations.
Recognized in Privacy & Data Protection by Chambers Canada, François also helps companies address the various legal challenges posed by AI, including developing AI governance strategies that align with the evolving AI regulatory landscape in Canada and globally. François is a frequent writer and speaker on various topics and developments within privacy and cybersecurity law. He has appeared before the House of Commons’ Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology (INDU) in relation to proposed privacy and AI legislation.
Prior to joining Osler, François was a partner at another Canadian national firm.
