Alexandre’s practice focuses on litigation, including public and administrative law, franchise litigation, insolvency and restructuring litigation, consumer class actions, arbitration, , environmental, regulatory and aboriginal law and compliance with the Québec Charter of the French Language.
In the course of his legal studies at the University of Sherbrooke, Alexandre worked as a law clerk for the Honourable Justice Léo Daigle of the Québec Superior Court and was a teaching assistant for professors Nathalie Vézina and Éliane-Marie Gaulin. He also did a study trip at the Aarhus University, in Denmark. During 2008-2009, he worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Justice Johanne Gauthier, then of the Federal Court. Alexandre currently teaches judicial remedies in the North American Common Law Program at the University of Montréal.
Alexandre has appeared before the Régie des marchés agricoles et alimentaires du Québec, a Canadian Judicial Council Inquiry Committee, various arbitral tribunals, the Court of Québec, the Québec Superior Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Federal Court, the Québec Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also advised clients appearing before the Québec Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement and a Joint Review Panel constituted by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Government of Canada. Alexandre regularly represents clients in their dealings with the Office québécois de la langue française.
