Danna’s practice focuses on project finance, including social and transportation infrastructure, renewable energy, public-private partnerships, syndicated loan facilities and acquisition loan facilities. She advises a broad range of corporate borrowers and lenders including developers, equity sponsors, contractors, domestic and foreign banks, bond underwriters and other investors on the negotiation of credit facilities, indentures and infrastructure documents. Danna has led Osler’s commercial team in providing advisory services on a number of infrastructure and energy transactions, including the debt and equity financing of some of Canada’s largest wind and solar projects. Danna is a Founding Member and the Past Chair (2014-2016) of the Toronto Women’s Infrastructure Network and is currently a member of the Steering Committee.

    • Henvey Inlet Wind LP in the $1 billion financing and construction of the Henvey Inlet Wind Farm
    • Hydro One Inc. and Hydro One Limited in connection with syndicated loan transactions.
    • Hydro One Limited in its $1.66 billion Initial Public Offering.
    • Pattern Energy Group Inc. – Investment of US$60 million in Pattern Development and strategic relationship with PSP Investments.
    • Pattern Energy Group and Samsung on the construction and operational financing of the South Kent Wind LP (270 MW) and Grand Renewable Wind LP (150 MW) wind projects financed by 15 global financial institutions.
    • Bank of Montreal, Caisse Centrale Desjardins, BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., Desjardins Securities Inc., The Bank of Nova Scotia, National Bank of Canada and The Toronto-Dominion Bank on the $1 billion 407 East Extension project financing.
    • SunEdison Canada, on the construction and term financing with various lenders including Union Bank, N.A., Deutsche Bank AG, Canada Branch, Manulife Financial Corporation, Bayersiche Landesbank, New York Branch, in respect of its 10 MW ground mount solar projects for each of Sandhurst, Rutley, Norfolk Bloomsburg, Odessa, Hwy 2, Alfred, Unity, and Welland.
    • Firelight Solar L.P. on the multi-tranche term credit facility with Stonebridge Financial Corporation and Canada Life to finance a portfolio of approximately 65 photovoltaic rooftop solar projects.
    • Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners on the long term debt financing with The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company of the 10 MW Stone Mills Solar Park, in Napanee, Ontario. 
    • Penn Energy on the development, construction and financing of its seven 10 MW ground mount solar generating projects being developed under the Ontario FIT Program.
    • A multinational energy company in establishing its $1 billion global financing program.
    • Hochtieff PPP Solutions North America and Concert Infrastructure Fund on the bid submission and financing of Alberta Schools III.
    • Bondfield Construction Company Ltd. on the design, build and financings of the Pan Am Bundle including the Markham Pan Am Centre, Etobicoke Olympium, Pan Am Field Hockey Centre.
    • Laing Investment Management Services and ACS Infrastructure Canada Inc. on the design, build, financing and maintenance of the Sheppard Maintenance and Storage Facility Project (bid stage).
    • A syndicate of lenders including Bank of Montreal, National Bank of Canada, Ontario Pension Board, Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc., The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company, BCE Master Trust Fund, The Canada Life Assurance Company in a proposal to Infrastructure Ontario for the Women’s College Hospital Project (bid stage).
    • Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada and The Canada Life Assurance Company in a proposal to Infrastructure Ontario for the Ontario Provincial Police Modernization Project (bid stage).
    • Société Générale on the $150 million project financing of the Credit Valley Hospital Phase II Redevelopment Project.
    • Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in the $57 million project financing of Runnymede Healthcare Centre.
