Colleen has extensive experience building successful companies and valuable brands. She is a respected business leader with senior management experience in financial services, technology, business and web-based services. Colleen has held a variety of corporate leadership positions and has a deep understanding of business development strategy in the services sector. 

Colleen has had a long successful career in the financial services industry that spans over 35 years. While she began her career at Merrill Lynch and CIBC, Colleen was a co-founder and President of E*TRADE Canada.

Colleen is a Chair of the Board of Merrco Payments and past Chair of the Governance Committee and Board member of Solium Capital (SUM-TSX). She also participates in the early stage ecosystem through iNovia Capital Board of Advisors, Creative Destruction Lab Strategic Advisory Board and 111 Advisory Committee. 

Since 2003, Colleen has been a founder and business director of The Judy Project, one of Canada's leading leadership forums, uniquely designed for executive women ascending to C-suite positions at the University of Toronto's Joseph Rotman School of Management. 

Colleen is the editor of the best selling leadership book, Collective Wisdom of High - Performing Women, Leadership Lessons from the Judy Project, published in 2019. The book features personal stories from 70 Canadian women business leaders, highlighting their perspectives on the leadership characteristics of great leaders. 

  • 2021 & 2020 YWCA Women of Distinction Award – This award identifies leaders in their fields and steadfast champions for the rights of women and girls in Toronto and beyond.
  • 2021 Women’s College Hospital Inaugural “Trailblazer Award”  celebrates a visionary individual that is committed to being a champion for others and creating a more inclusive healthcare system and society.
  • 2020 Women of Distinction Award – This award identifies leaders in their fields and steadfast champions for the rights of women and girls in Toronto and beyond.

Founder and current Business Director of The Judy Project - one of Canada’s leading leadership forums, uniquely designed for executive women ascending to C-suite positions at the University of Toronto’s Joseph Rotman School of Management. The annual Judy Project was founded in 2003.

Chair, Toronto Artscape Foundation -  The Toronto Artscape Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization which supports Toronto Artscape Inc social enterprise mission to make space for creativity and transform communities through community arts programs, creative placemaking educational programs and access to arts and cultural facilities. We support access to artistic programming and community animation; and creative entrepreneurship development.
